Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences, recognize returning visitors, and improve your experience.
2. How We Use Cookies
This page covers dwelleroo.com, our public marketing site. The Dwelleroo application you log into is a separate service with its own session and security cookies, which are necessary for it to work at all.
On this site we use three categories, and the two optional ones are switched off until you turn them on:
Essential — always on
One entry in your browser's local storage, recording the cookie choice you made here and when you made it. It is what stops us asking you again on every page. It is not used to identify or track you, and it is never shared.
Analytics — optional, off by default
Google Analytics, so we can see which pages get read and where people give up. Until you allow it, Google Analytics runs in a consent-denied mode: it stores no cookies and sets no identifier on your device.
- Pages visited and the order you visited them in
- Rough location (country or region), device type, and referring site
Marketing — optional, off by default
The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which measures whether our ads bring anyone here and lets us show ads to people with similar interests. Until you allow it, the pixel is held in a revoked state: it loads no cookies and sends no events to Meta.
- Whether you arrived from an ad, and which pages you then looked at
- Audience matching for advertising on Meta's platforms
3. Third-Party Cookies
The optional categories above are the only third parties that can set anything on this site, and only after you agree:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — analytics.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — advertising measurement.
Both are operated by companies based in the United States, so allowing them means the data described above is transferred there.
4. Managing Cookies
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — it is no harder than giving it was. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page, or the button below. Turning a category off stops the corresponding tag immediately, without a reload.
You can also control cookies in your browser: most let you block or delete them, usually under "Privacy" or "Settings". Note that clearing your browser storage also clears the record of your choice here, so we will ask again on your next visit.
5. Cookie Retention
Your consent record persists until you clear your browser storage or we change what the categories cover — if the categories change, the record is retired and we ask again rather than assuming your old answer still applies. Cookies set by Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are governed by those providers and typically expire within 24 months.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
