Switching guide

Leave the spreadsheet.
Keep the rent roll.

Every row you have already typed comes across by CSV. What changes is that from the next rent day forward, nobody has to type them again.

Same rent roll. One of them tells you when someone hasn’t paid.

What is the switch worth, in your numbers?

Nothing here is an industry average. Set the sliders to your portfolio and your hourly rate, and the ledger shows every step of the arithmetic it used.

Every figure above comes from the sliders you set — no industry averages, no assumptions you can’t see. 30-day trial, no card.

Four steps, about forty-five minutes.

01~15 min

Export, then import

Download your sheet as CSV and upload it. You map your columns to Dwelleroo's fields once, on screen, and the whole rent roll lands at once.

02~20 min

Turn rent collection on

Connect Stripe, confirm each lease's amount and due date, then invite tenants to authorise pre-authorised debit. The next rent day runs itself.

03~10 min

Hand tenants the portal

One invite email each. From then on repairs arrive with photos attached and questions arrive in a thread instead of at 9pm on your personal phone.

040 min

Keep the old file

Run both in parallel for a cycle if it helps you trust it. Nothing is deleted, and every report exports back out to CSV whenever you want it.

What people worry about before they move.

Will I lose my history?

No. Import brings across the rows you have, and anything the CSV doesn't cover you can keep in the original file — Dwelleroo never asks you to delete it. Going forward, history accumulates on its own in the activity log and the ledgers.

It's the normal case. The import step shows you your columns and asks which Dwelleroo field each one is, so inconsistent date formats and stray notes columns get sorted out as you map rather than beforehand.

Pre-authorised debit is opt-in per tenant. Anyone who declines still gets invoices and reminders automatically, and you record their payment manually — which is still less work than the sheet, because the invoice already exists.

Yes, and it's a sensible way to do it. Import a single property, run a rent cycle on it, and bring the rest across once you've seen a month work end to end.

You, in about fifteen minutes, using the CSV importer. If your portfolio is unusual or large, contact us before you start and we'll walk through the mapping with you.

The next rent day is the easiest one to switch before.

Import tonight, connect Stripe, and let the following cycle collect itself. Thirty days free, no credit card, no contract.
